Ark-T have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. The most important priority for us at Ark-T is ensuring the health and safety of everybody who participates in our projects at the centres we run, everybody who hires our space, uses the Waste2Taste cafe and our dedicated staff team. We do not believe it is practical or responsible to open our doors while people’s lives are at risk. We are determined to survive as an organisation, retain our passionate and committed team and to get our centres back on track as soon as possible.
Following on from the advice and guidance shared by the World Health Organisation, the government and the local authority, we are making the decision today to close our centres until further notice.
All face to face delivery will be cancelled until the end of May unless we receive alternative advice and guidance from the relevant authorities.
We are working very hard and using our powers of creativity to plan on how we can continue to deliver support through our projects via Youtube, phone-calls, our website and social media platforms.
Together we will be thinking about how we can provide support to our communities at this time.
We are thinking of you all and will be regularly updating you and sharing relevant information and advice from services who are working tirelessly across Oxfordshire to provide support to the vulnerable people in our communities.
We will be focussing on a contingency plan as an organisation over the next two weeks and we will be providing more information to you on Friday the 27th of March.
Stay safe and hopeful. We will get through this together.
