To our Ark-T community of friends, supporters, and partners.
As you know, England is entering a new period of national lock-down from Thursday 5 November until Wednesday 2 December. We will be closing our centres to the public (remaining open for urgent Covid response projects only) and want to take this opportunity to acknowledge all the incredible support we’ve had from our beloved hirers who have been back with us since reopening in September- we deeply appreciate you and the work you bring to your groups and we will continue to work with passion and care to support you in returning when it is possible to do so!
The Good News… Ark-T will continue to deliver our Creativity Changes Lives programme and our mental health support ‘The Mental Wealth Academy’ to young people digitally as well as re-launching our Music Against Prejudice programme online. We will also continue to provide sessions at The Art Nest in Orchard Meadow Primary School in Blackbird Leys. We will be continuing our partnership with Waste2Taste and Flos with the OX4 Free Food Crew, supporting families and individuals facing hardship as a result of the pandemic. And of course, we will be working with the fantastic Oxford Community Action to support our weekly foodbank service.
Our wonderful partners Waste2Taste will be open and serving delicious food on Tuesday 3 November and Wednesday 4 November this week before closing on Thursday.
Our plan is to re-open hopefully in the New Year and we will, of course, keep you all informed of developments.
May we keep creative inspiration, love and kindness in our hearts during this difficult time.
With thanks and best wishes.
The Ark-T Team
