Cowley Community Larder

with No Comments

This time is one for community spirit, kindness of heart, and respect for the struggles each of us are facing. We hope we can ease some of the stress and worry you may be feeling.

We have joined forces with Oxford Together and SOFEA to supply essential food goods to people in the community at the Cowley Community Larder.

Where and when?

The Cowley Community Larder is at our community centre: The Venue, 242B Barns Road, OX4 3RQ (next to the Emmaus shop).

Tuesdays 11am – 2pm
Thursdays 11am – 2pm

Do I just turn up?

Yes, on arrival you will join the queue and once inside you will complete a form to become a member of the larder. There are no costs involved and volunteers are on hand to help you complete the form.

Please do not come to the larder if you answer YES to either of these questions:

*Have you been self-isolating? Are you living with anyone else who is self-isolating?

*Do you have any of the following symptoms: a new continuous cough, a high temperature?

Please see details below for delivery if you can’t come to the larder.

What if I can’t come to the larder in person?

Instead, you can arrange delivery of a food box to your home
through this form here

If you are not able to access the online request form please contact
Oxford Together on:
07957 105 129 Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

What can I expect?

We will be observing social distancing with 2 meters between all members of the public and all volunteers and admitting only one person in the centre at a time.  We also expect everyone to use hand sanitiser on arrival.

However! We will be giving out free air hugs and big smiles and look forward to welcoming you.

I want to help!

Great! If you’d like to volunteer for the Community Larder please email
