I studied Fine Art painting at Winchester School Of Art and also completed a European Studies course at Barcelona University, later returning to exhibit.

During this time I developed a keen interest in photographic work. Later, having moved to Oxford, I completed a PGCE at Westminster College and Oxford University to teach secondary art.
After a period of teaching my desire to work in the community as an outreach project worker took me to work with isolated communities, then later to work at Oxfordshire Women’s Aid, supporting women and children fleeing domestic violence. Since the birth of my daughter Eva, I have stopped full time work and am pursuing my creative ambitions

I joined the Ark T Centre about 18 months ago having been aware of it since it began. I was encouraged by a participating friend to enquire about space to paint in the balcony of the church. Having been welcomed in, I have found the sense of community a valuable support and encouragement for developing my artwork. I have been involved in organising exhibitions and running workshops for children. I also teach art to children at a Montessori School near Oxford and work as a freelance photographer. Photographic projects have included; Oxfordshire Information Service (OCIS) Annual Review and OCIC ‘Your Child and You’ an information book for families with children with learning disabilities, and leaflets for the Early Years Service, Oxon County Council.
