Rachel has combined her passion for printmaking with dyes and wax with striking results.
The thread that still runs through her work explores the relationship between figures and the land.
Her recent work on “angels” has also focussed around this idea inspired by ancient tales and dreams. Her figures stand powerful on the paper and draw the viewer in to explore the twisting vibrancy of colour and form. When she isn’t in the studio Rachel works with young people in the centre using the creative arts and also tours the UK in schools delivering workshops and art residencies.
