Yoga to Bed
Monday evenings from 7.45 to 9.15 pm (except bank holidays and school holidays)
This class is designed to support deep relaxation and to help you gather your energy for the start of the week. Netia’s teaching is highly responsive to the needs of individuals, with many options offered.
Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, the class is for the tired, the lively, the flexible and the very unbendable! It is about unlocking the body’s natural balance and capacity to relax, not about touching your toes.
Netia started practicing yoga 30 years ago to help her recover from ME. She is trained in the classical tradition brought to the West by Swami Visnudevananda, named after his teacher, Swami Sivananda. She has studied in Sivananda ashrams around the world and taken specialist training in adapting her teaching to all levels of ability.
Every lesson includes pranayama (yoga breathing exercises) a range of postures and regular relaxation adjusted to the varying needs of the class.
Mats and blocks are provided.
