On Friday 23rd October we’re going to celebrate
10 years of the Ark T Youth Music Project and we would like you to join us.
At an evening event beginning at 7.30pm, the gallery will host an exhibition
of photographs of the last 10 years and musicians past and present will perform.
Ark T Centre Youth Music Project
The youth music project offers young people from 11-19 opportunities to develop through music making.
Young people gain experience through recording, performance and workshops. We work with a wide range of young people, and particularly aim to reach out to those who may not otherwise have access to these opportunities. The project works with referrals from organizations such as schools and the Youth Offending Team, as well as young people in the local community who are enthusiastic about music.
Under the leadership of Jon Fletcher, the music project has continued to flourish. An ever-increasing number of young people are being given opportunities to develop through music performances, recording and workshops.
