Community In Reach: 1:1 creative wellbeing mentoring for 11-16 year olds.

Ark-T, alongside a handful of other 3rd sector organisations, has been part of the Community In Reach partnership with Response since 2017, to deliver a new Mental Health service model for Oxford Health.

Alongside TRAX, RAW, Synolos, SOFEA, Banbury Young Homeless Project and Oxfordshire Youth, Ark-T delivers bespoke 1:1 mental health mentoring sessions for young people aged 11-16 who are currently experiencing mild, to moderate mental health needs.

We offer a series of weekly 1:1’s which are built around the needs of the young person, and have the powers of the creative arts to build personal wellbeing tools to help young people to manage their mental health and build resilience. These are a light touch mental health intervention with the support and expertise of the CAMHS team underpinning our work.

Young People can be referred to the service through SPA - the CAMHS (Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service) Single Point of Access.

If a young person you know is experiencing mild to moderate mental health needs and they might benefit from sessions with a creative wellbeing specialist, please make a referral enquiry using the contact details here:

“Even when she was struggling to get out anywhere else, and had very limited energy, she prioritised being able to manage her time [at Ark-T] and loved having somewhere she could access independently”
