Remembering the amazing 'RED SCARE' exhibition with artwork from Molly Rushton, the Martha Mary Fernback Art Prize Winner 2021. Martha Fernback, from Oxford, was 15 years old when she passed away from an accidental ecstasy overdose in 2013.

The art prize, which is aimed at young women aged 15 - 21, was established by her mother Anne-Marie, and Ark-T in 2018 to commemorate what would have been her 21st birthday.

Speaking about her win last year and the opportunities it gave her, 2021 winner Molly said: “I have learned a lot about both the practical and the emotional side of art, how to accurately translate my feelings and to get them seen and heard in a way that people understand. I was able to properly express myself, tell stories about my life and things I find interesting. To talk about things that I love, things that I hate, things that I think are funny or sad".

We are delighted to announce The Martha Mary Fernback Art prize 2022 is underway and the current winner, Alice, has begun her art mentoring sessions. We will be introducing Alice very soon and sharing some of her early work.

This prize has a significant impact on the life and future of the winner. Ark-T and Martha's family are passionate that this must continue, but we need your help.
